ABOUT US
God has a master plan for everyone and being attentive to hear, and respond to the will of God, in His designated time can be both exhilarating and quite unsettling all at once. Just as God told Abraham to leave the place of his fathers in order to receive his promise, likewise God has the power to instruct others to return home to fulfill His plans in their lives. This is true for Pastor Phyllis and Rev. Kenneth Gill.
UNDERSTANDING, FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD, COVID-19 WAS A MAJOR TURNING POINT
In March, as friends and family members wondered what a lock-down for the State of North Carolina would mean for churches and the way we traditionally come together to worship the Lord and fellowship with each other; Pastor Gill was called upon to identify a solution on behalf of a small group of believers who simply wanted to stay connected while safely distancing at home. Joyfully, the 'Organizer' and 'Leader' in her came alive as she said, “Well, let’s get to work.” Thus, the Virtual Friends & Family COVID Weekly Fellowship began.
Being led by the Holy Spirit, thru ministering; Pastor Phyllis and Rev. Kenneth Gill believe, as do we, that they have been called to return unto the place they have so proudly called home all of their lives with a commission to faithfully serve within our community by acknowledging the cries of the lost, hurting, sick and oppressed, and ministering to those in need, while sharing the Gospel of Truth; and this includes providing a place of refuge to those seeking a covering, to renew their faith or strengthen their relationship with God by Christ Jesus.
OUR PURPOSE AND MISSION BECAME MORE CLEAR AS THE VISION WAS REVEALED
By virtue of faithful obedience to say YES! to the will of God; the outpouring of love and support has been tremendous from each of you and others as well; and we could not be more thankful. This is why we want to share with you how the Lord has been opening doors and moving in such a way to reaffirm that this is his will for our ministry.
Before a meeting to organize was arranged there were believers waiting for the call to come together. During the first meeting ten joined as members. Since then, Greater Fellowship Worship Centre, Inc. has been registered with the state and federal governments as a church, with nonprofit designation; and has begun the process of becoming a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. God has also moved upon the hearts of many to donate time, funding, resources and business expertise to formulate a path forward.
AND WE KNOW WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE! WE DESIRE YOUR PRAYERS AND YOUR SUPPORT!
As you can imagine, establishing a new ministry is a major undertaking that traditionally evolves over time; however, when God moves He can accelerate a timeline that causes His believers to step out of their personal comfort zones and truly walk by faith, not by sight.
Through the kindness and generosity of our patrons, Pastor, Dr. Phyllis Gill, and Associate Pastor, Rev. Kenneth Gill, have been offered a temporary facility to worship once we are able to come back together for in person services; and, through another mighty move of God, we have been notified of a facility that would be a more permanent edifice to support the greater mission of the ministry by allowing space for worship services, church activities and community outreach as well.
GOD IS SO FAITHFUL, AND WE INVITE YOU TO STAY IN TOUCH FOR MORE ABOUT THE GREATER FELLOWSHIP JOURNEY!
